Preterm Birth: A Little-Known Public Health Concern
Preterm births are rising in the U.S. even with some of the best medical technology in the world. This paper looks at how poverty, peer pressure, social media and bias in the exam room put babies at risk, and what Philadelphia programs like WIC, Medicaid and the Maternity Care Coalition are doing about it. It also makes the case that more green space in our neighborhoods could save lives.
More papers are on the way. Until they’re all posted here, you can read the full collection in my shared folder.
